Jo Crossley

Jo is Business Support Officer at Healthier Futures. Jo joined the team at the end of 2014, and her role is to support the Healthier Futures team with administrative and business functions, as well as support with project and campaign delivery.

Since leaving University Jo has worked across the not-for-profit sector for over five years. Her first role was with for the Children’s Society managing their Ormskirk charity shop working with a team of over 40 volunteers. Whilst in this role Jo gained an NVQ in team leadership.

Jo then moved to the role of Finance Assistant at the University of Nottingham’s Campaign and Alumni relations team, supporting the fundraising team to raise nearly £80 million for multiple causes across the university, including scholarships and cancer research.

After leaving the university Jo worked for Nottingham based drug and alcohol recovery charity Double Impact in roles within business and administration, fundraising, events and marketing. During her time with Double Impact Jo was part of the team that set up Sobar - the East Midlands first alcohol free bar – funded by the Big Lottery, as well as organising Sound Recovery, an alcohol free music festival.

Jo has a BA Hons in English Literature with English Language from Bangor University.
