As the Campaigns and Engagement Manager at Healthier Futures Ansa leads on a number of campaigns, which include advocacy and political engagement work, to influence Government action on important pieces of public health legislation.
Ansa leads on political engagement, which involves working with MPs to harness cross party political support.
Ansa has been actively involved in the award winning Take 7 Steps Out campaign and a second phase of the project – ‘Chemical Soup’ – a visually interactive secondhand smoke awareness raising programme.
Outside of the region, Ansa plays a key role in developing and delivering effective tobacco control campaigns in partnership with local authorities.
While still carrying out day to day PR and communications functions, Ansa currently leads on managing and developing the organisation’s flagship youth education and prevention programme –, which seeks to expose the tobacco and alcohol industry tactics and encourage young people to look at both industries in a new way.
Ansa has over seven years PR and communications experience in both the public and private sectors and previously worked for Wigan Council, the Young People and Families’ NHS Network and public relations firm MC2.
